Drawing

These large format drawings (2.5’x4’) strive for a visual language of mark making that pierce through our haptically developed visual perception. This spatial orientation formed at infancy through reaching into the world with touch forces marks to conform to three-dimensional space as opposed to their internal two-dimensional relations to one another.

My formal western training in drawing begins with Ray Robinson and reaches back to Frank Auerback.
